CHAPTER 14: THE LIGHT OF A NEW DAWN

The golden morning sunlight seeped through the window curtains, falling softly across the comfortable bed. Soon, with the gentle hum of the ceiling fan and a cool, pleasant breeze, I slowly woke up. There had been no electricity last night, but power had evidently been restored toward dawn.

Opening my eyes, I realized I wasn't resting alone on my pillow as on other days. My body was pressed right against Arnab-babu’s broad chest. One of his strong arms wrapped around my waist in complete protection, while his other arm rested comfortably beneath my head like a soft pillow.
